Inside our processing plant: from master coil to finished core
A photo walk through our Hunan processing base: slitting, cutting, high-speed stamping, automated stacking, inspection and packing under one roof.
HXES sells and exports electrical steel from Guangzhou. Processing is done at our base in Hunan, which is under the same ownership. Keeping slitting, cutting, stamping and stacking in one plant shortens lead times and keeps the traceability chain from mill coil to finished part unbroken. This article walks through the plant in the order a coil moves through it.

Slitting
Master coils up to 1250 mm wide are slit into narrow strips for core cutting and stamping. Our slitting lines handle GO and NGO material from 0.18 to 0.50 mm. Operators check strip width, edge burr and winding tension at the recoiler.

High-speed stamping
Motor laminations are stamped on high-speed presses with progressive dies. Interlocking points formed in the die join the laminations into a stack as they leave the press, so cores come off the line already stacked to height.

Automated handling and coating
Automated machines transfer and align stacked cores between operations, reducing handling damage. Stator cores that need insulation are coated, and parts are collected in baskets that keep each lot separate.

Transformer core cutting and assembly
Grain-oriented strip is cut into mitred or step-lap laminations and stacked into three- or five-limb cores in the assembly area.

Inspection and dispatch
Every lot is checked in the quality lab with height gauges, a vision measuring machine and a CMM before it is packed for domestic delivery or export.
