Our stock grade list: 26 popular Baosteel grades and how to request them
We now publish the Baosteel CRGO and CRNGO grades we supply most often. This guide explains what the list shows and what to include in a request so we can confirm stock and quote quickly.
The stock page lists 26 Baosteel grades that buyers ask us for most often: 13 grain-oriented (CRGO) grades for transformer cores and 13 non-oriented (CRNGO) grades for motors and generators. Each grade has its own link to the inquiry form.

Grade names follow the Baosteel system: B, the thickness in hundredths of a millimetre, a series letter and the maximum core loss. For CRGO, G is the conventional series, P the high-permeability series and R the domain-refined high-permeability series; B27R090 is 0.27 mm domain-refined material with a maximum loss of 0.90 W/kg at 1.7 T, 50 Hz. For CRNGO, B50A470 is 0.50 mm material with a maximum loss of 4.70 W/kg at 1.5 T, 50 Hz.
Availability and pricing
Stock moves every day, so the list shows the grades we supply regularly rather than fixed tonnages. When you send a request, we confirm the current quantity, coil width and delivery time for your grade. Prices follow the market and are quoted per request.
What to include in your request
- Grade, or the required core loss and thickness if you have no preferred grade.
- Width, and whether you need master coils, slit coils or cut sheets.
- Quantity in tonnes and the delivery schedule.
- Processing needs such as slitting width, core cutting drawings or stacking.
- Destination port and preferred trade term, such as FOB or CIF.
- Documents you need with the shipment.
Processing before shipment
If you need narrow strips or finished cores, processing is done at the Hunan branch of Guangzhou Huaxin Industrial Co., Ltd: slitting, transformer core cutting and stacking, and motor lamination stamping. One quotation can cover both the material and the processing.
